Four named to ECAC All-Star squad; Thren named Offensive Player of the Year

CAPE COD, Mass. - Ursinus College had four members named to the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Region All-Star team on Monday.

In addition, sophomore forward Alyssa Thren (Barto, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) was named as the Offensive Player of the Year. She, along with junior midfielder Megan Yoder (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) and junior midfielder Michelle Wimmer (Palm, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) were named to the first-team.

Junior defender Lindsey Doutt (Willow Street, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) was named to the second-team.

Thren, a first-team All-Centennial selection and a third-team NFHCA All-American, set the Centennial Conference record for goals in a season with 34. She finished with a team-best 74 points this season.

Yoder, the NFHCA South Region Player of the Year and first-team All-American by the NFHCA, was also named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year. She recorded 26 goals and 20 assists on the season.

Wimmer, a first-team All-Centennial pick and a second-team All-American by the NFHCA, recorded 17 goals and nine assists on the season.

Doutt, a first-team All-Centennial and first-team All-American selection by the NFHCA, recorded three goals and five assists as a defender.

Ursinus finished the season 20-3 and advanced to the NCAA Division III Semifinals for the second time in three years.
