2010 Ursinus College Field Hockey Schedule released
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College athletic department has released the 2010 Field Hockey schedule.
Once again, the schedule has a mix of strong regional powers, in addition to the traditional conference slate.
The Bears open up play on Friday, September 3, as they host Messiah. Messiah and Ursinus are two of the four teams that made up the 2009 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Semifinals. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at Eleanor Frost Snell Field.
Ursinus continues non-conference play with a Tuesday, September 7 game against Rowan, followed by a non-conference affair with Eastern Mennonite on Saturday, September 11 at noon.
Ursinus' first conference game will be Wednesday, September 15 on the Main Line against Bryn Mawr.
The annual Snell Cup game against West Chester will be held on Sunday, October 10, at noon at Vonnie Gros Field on West Chester's campus.
Ursinus steps out of conference two more times after that, hosting William Smith on Saturday, October 16, at noon, before hosting Cortland State on Homecoming on Saturday, October 23, also at noon.
The regular season finale will be on the road at Johns Hopkins on Saturday, October 30, at 5 p.m.
Ursinus went 20-3 last season and won its sixth straight
Centennial Conference Championship.
