Men's Track set for Centennial Conference Championships
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Ursinus College track and field teams are set for the 2010 Centennial Conference Championships taking place this Friday-Saturday and Sunday at Clothier Fields on the campus of Swarthmore College.
The Bears received several high seeds on Thursday afternoon as the performance list was released.
Freshman Amanda Laurito (Philadelphia, Pa./PA Home Schoolers) is the top seed in the 100 meter dash prelims with a time of 12.85, while sophomore Al Desiderio (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) is the top seed in the men's 100 meter dash with a time of 11.07. Desiderio is also the top seed in the 200 meter dash with a mark of 22.07.
Sophomore Bianca Bartoli (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) is the top seed in the javelin throw at 34.77 meters, with senior Travis Youngs (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mercersburg) the top seed in the triple jump at a mark of 14.27 meters.
Action begins with the pole vault on Friday at 1 p.m.
