Justin Klingman is in his third year as an assistant coach with the Ursinus College men’s basketball team.
Klingman is a native of South Abington Township and a 2015 graduate of The University of Scranton. During his time at Scranton, he was a two-sport athlete, playing both basketball and baseball. As a member of the basketball team, he was a team captain during his senior season. Klingman, who led all active players in career 3-point field goal shooting percentage at .507 as a senior, is the school’s all-time leader in 3-point field goal percentage and led the team to an overall record of 89-25 during his four years. He also made three appearances in the NCAA tournament, with an Elite 8 run in 2012. In addition, the Royals won three Landmark Conference titles. Klingman was a second-team All-Landmark selection in 2015, while being named the team’s most valuable player.
For the past three summers, Klingman has been a teacher and coach at Strive SportsChallenge. SportsChallenge is a residential leadership development program for high school athletes from around the country.
