Coach Mangle is a 1994 graduate of Shikellamy High School (Sunbury, PA) and a 1998 graduate from Delaware Valley College (Doylestown, PA) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. During his competition days, Josh was a PIAA State Qualifier. He was the AAA representative for both the District IV All-Star meet and for the PIAA AA v. AAA Challenge of Champions meet. In college, he wrestled three injury plagued seasons, was a three time Mid-Atlantic Conference place winner, and a two-time NCAA East Regional place winner before injuries ended his career.
Coach Mangle started his coaching career in 1999 as the Head Coach at Line Mountain High School (Herndon, PA). During his tenure there, Josh produced a third place conference squad with 7 Sectional placers, 3 District IV placers, 1 PIAA Northeast Regional, 1 PIAA State Qualifier, and 1 PIAA 5th place wrestler. Coach Mangle then moved to the NCAA Division III level, joining the staff at his Alma Matter, Delaware Valley College for the start of the 2000 season. In 2005, Josh would accept an assistant coaching position at Ursinus College. During his coaching tenures at both Delaware Valley and Ursinus, Coach Mangle would help produce a 2004 Delaware Valley Squad that placed 4th at the NCAA Division III Championships, 9 Conference Championship teams, 39 individual conference champions, 40 NCAA Qualifiers, and 15 NCAA All-Americans (including 2 NCAA Runner-ups), and 25 NCAA Scholar All-Americans.
In addition to coaching at Ursinus, Coach Mangle was the Assistant Coach for the 2013 Division III International All-Star Wrestling Team that competed in France, Turkey, and Bulgaria, going 2-2 in duals and securing the Kalchev International Tournament championship. Josh has also attended the NWCA Leadership Academy for professional coaching development and the annual NWCA Coaches Convention. He is also a USA Bronze Level Certified Coach.
Coach Mangle currently resides in Royersford, PA and is employed by the County of Montgomery (PA).
