Margaret White is in her fourth year as head women’s basketball coach at Ursinus.

In her first two seasons at the helm, White guided the Bears to a 20-18 Centennial Conference record and twice to the cusp of the conference playoffs. Her third season was the breakthrough, as Ursinus finished 10-10 in league play and captured the fifth seed in the conference tournament before falling to fourth-seeded Johns Hopkins in the first round. It marked the Bears' first postseason appearance in six years.

She has coached four All-CC performers and recruited the 2017 CC Rookie of the Year and Mid-Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year in Lydia Konstanzer.

The Bears finished 11-14 overall and 9-9 in league play during the 2015-16 campaign, White's first as head coach. Seniors Jessica Porada (second team) and Alyssa Polimeni (honorable mention) were awarded all-conference status, and Ursinus won its first six league games to get off to the best CC start in program history.

In 2016-17, Ursinus was 13-12 overall and 11-9 in the CC, landing one win short of a postseason berth. Konstanzer, a second team All-CC selection, was chosen as the league's rookie of the year.

White came to Collegeville after serving as an assistant for two seasons at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. During her time at CWRU, she was responsible for organizing individual skill sessions, national recruiting, scouting, film exchange, and academic monitoring. The 2014-15 team featured four All-University Athletic Association players. In addition to coaching, she was also an instructor in the Physical Education department at Case.

White is no stranger to the Centennial Conference, as she was a 2009 graduate of Gettysburg College, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team. During her senior season, she served as team captain. She is sixth all-time in school history in 3-pointers made with 118, and was also a CC All-Academic selection.

Prior to her time at CWRU, she was the assistant coach at Vassar College, where the team posted a 21-5 record during the 2012-13 season, establishing a school record for victories. Vassar advanced to the NCAA tournament in 2011-12.

White also was an assistant coach at Elmira College for two seasons, while also serving as JV coach.

White earned a degree in sociology with a minor in Spanish from Gettysburg, graduating summa cum laude. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Education from Elmira in 2011 with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
