WESTMINSTER, Md. – The No. 22 Ursinus College women's swimming team cruised to a 57-37 Centennial Conference victory at McDaniel on Saturday.

Senior Sydney Gundersen and juniors Peyten Lyons and Clara Baker each grabbed a pair of gold medals as the Bears (4-0, 2-0) stretched their dual-meet winning streak to 52. The trio was joined by senior Olivia Tierney in the 200 medley relay, where the group finished first, setting a new pool record of 1:51.49.

Lyons wasn't done setting records there, as her first-place finish in the 100 back (59.92) broke the old pool record set by Malena Lair Ferrari in 2014.

Baker's second gold came in the 100 fly (58.75) while Gundersen grabbed her second gold in the 200 IM (2:14.94). Senior Meggie Leitz followed Baker in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 59.16 while junior Katherine Madden trailed Gundersen in the 200 IM (2.22.58).

The trio of sophomore Haley Sturla and freshmen Rebecca Warren and Sophie May each won a gold. Sturla topped the podium in the 500 free (5:30.62) wile Warren on the 1000 free (11.07.53). All three had teammates join them on the podium. Junior Kathryn Longenecker touched just after Warren in the 1000 free (11:19.22) while her classmate Gabriella Timuscuk finished second in the 500 free (5:32.20) to Sturla. Katherine Kurzinsky earned a bronze medal in the 50 free (25.62).

Sophomore Margrethe Leis and freshman Allison Thomas went 2-3 in the 100 free, with the elder finishing in 57.35, while Thomas touched shortly after at 57.56. Thomas also went home with a silver medal for her performance in the 200 free (2:04.16).

The foursome of Leitz, Gundersen, Baker and Lyons finished the 200 free relay in 1:42.50, while the duo of Tierney and freshman Katelyn Moore completed the 100 breast in times of 1:10.49 and 1:11.62, respectively.

The Bears are back in action next Saturday when they host Gettysburg.
