COLLEGEVILLE, PA. - The Ursinus Wrestling team celebrated Senior day inside Helfferich Hall Saturday afternoon with Centennial Conference duals with Merchant Marine and Johns Hopkins.

Romeo Rodriguez followed suit earning a pinfall in the second with just eight seconds left on the clock. Late in the second period, Rodriguez shot in on a double-leg and used a second chance effort to collect a takedown. With time running out Rodriguez was able to lock up a cradle for the Bears and pinned Kareem Chambers to make the score 10-0. After Jagger Clapsadle earned a 1-0 decision at 141lbs, Ursinus led 13-0 with seven matches remaining.

The Blue Jays collected three straight decisions and a pin at 174lbs made the score 15-13 Johns Hopkins with just three matches left. Senior Gary Nagle collected a technical fall at 184lbs to regain the lead for the Bears with two matches remaining. Fellow classmate Kyle Schaffer would follow up with a decision at 197 to give Ursinus a six-point lead.  In their final match, Hunt would fall 7-3 but Ursinus won the dual 21-18. With the victory, Ursinus has collected their second consecutive win over the Blue Jays and moved to 12-1 all-time against Johns Hopkins.

"We dropped a dual today that we shouldn't have and it should serve as a wake up call,"Head Coach Joe Jamison said. "There were a few critical spots in the dual where we came up short and it cost us; we can't let it happen again and I need to do a better job. Merchant Marine always comes ready to battle, so hats off to them. I'm glad we were able to bounce back and get the win over a much improved Johns Hopkins. This Thursday is a big opportunity for us at Muhlenberg, so we're looking forward to it."

The Bears will return to action Thursday as they travel to Muhlenberg for a 7pm start inside Memorial Hall.
