DALLAS, Pa. – Behind earning event victories in each of the 14 races, the Ursinus College men's swimming team cruised to a 193-69 victory over Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon.
 

With the victory Ursinus improves to 6-3 on the season while the Cougars fall to 5-3 on the season.

 
The Bears opened with the two fastest times in the 200-yard medley relay as the quartet of junior Jonah Kasznay, sophomore Francesco D'Avella, first-year Jack Giuliana, and senior Stephen Lyons combined for a time of 1:39.06. Junior Dylan Schreffler, senior Jake Hennegan, junior Jan Perez-Bonilla, and junior Kevin Soon earned a second-place nod after touching the wall at 1:41.34.

 
Ursinus carried the momentum into the next two races as junior Jake Klucinec won the 1000-yard freestyle (10:42.98) and sophomore David McCauley placed first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.65. Meanwhile, Perez-Bonilla added a second-place finish in the 200 free (1:51.63) and took second place in the 500 free with a time of 5:11.80.

 
Next, Ursinus swept the two quickest times in the 100-yard backstroke as D'Avella (56.18) placed first and Schreffler added a second-place time touching the wall at 57.26. Hennegan shined in each of his races during the meet adding the top time in the 100 breast (1:02.80) and a third-place time in the 200 breast (2:22.51).

 
Kasznay finished with a team-high three individual victories behind the top-times in the 200 fly (2:05.41), 200 breast (2:18.80), and 200 IM (1:59.89).  Later in the met, McCauley added a second-place nod in the 100 free with a time of 51.25 and a first-place time in the 500 free (4:58.42). Ursinus earned each of the top-three times in the 100 free as Schreffler (48.38) placed first and Soon took third overall (51.47).
 

Ursinus closed out the meet with the top-two times in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the quartet of Giuliana, Sonn, Schreffler, and Lyons combined for a time of 1:28.63. The team of Perez-Bonilla, McCauley, Klucinec, and Hennegan totaled a time of 1:31.70.
 

The Bears will return to action on Saturday, January 27^th as they host Stevens University to celebrate Senior Day at 1 p.m.
