Final Results 
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Ursinus College men's swimming team opened their 2024-25 season at the Centennial Conference Quad Meet featuring Franklin & Marshall, Dickinson College, and Washington College on Saturday afternoon.
 
 
The Bears fell to the Diplomats (169-90), Dickinson College (168-93), and Washington College (141-118) to open the season with a 0-3 record.
 

Ursinus opened the meet by earning a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay as first-year Josh Travers, junior Francesco D'Avella, sophomore Jack Giuliana, and senior Kevin Sonn combined for a time of 1:38.80.
 

In the 1000-yard freestyle, senior Jonah Kasznay recorded the top-time, placing first and touching the wall at 10:06.93. Kasznay later added second place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.31) and 200-yard IM (2:02.00).

 
Next, senior Dylan Schreffler placed second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.71) and collected the top-time in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.64. Giuliana recorded the fastest time in the 200-yard Butterfly behind a time of 2:02.25, while senior Jan Perez-Bonilla placed second touching the wall at 2:02.63. In the 50-yard freestyle, Sonn earned a fifth-place finish behind a time of 22.15, just shy of his career best of 21.08 which occurred at the Centennial Conference Championships last season.  
 

First-year Evan Wagner earned an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.33) in his collegiate debut, while classmate Josh Travers placed ninth I the 50-yard freestyle touching the wall at 22.90. Ursinus closed out the meet with a fourth-placed nod in the 400-yard freestyle relay as the quartet of Sonn, Schreffler, Travers, and Giuliana combined for a time of 3:16.34.
 
 
The Bears return to action on Saturday, October 26th as they travel to York College for a dual meet at 1 p.m.
