COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Senior
Jonah Kasznay led the Ursinus College men's swimming team behind three event victories during a 153-83 victory over Division II Kutztown University on Friday evening Keystone Natatorium.
With the victory, Ursinus improves to 3-6 overall while the Golden Bears fall to 0-7 on the season. Kasznay led the Bears with three event victories in the 1000-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, and 200 IM, while the Bears won each of the relay races enroute to the victory.
The Bears opened with an event victory in the 200-yard medley relay as the quartet of first-year

Francesco D'Avella, sophomore
Jack Giuliana, and senior
Kevin Sonn combined for a time of 1:39.89. Ursinus made it back-to-back event victories as Kasznay tallied his first of the day with a time of 10:11.40 in the 1000-yard freestyle. Next, in the 200-yard freestyle junior
David McCauley collected a second-place nod with a time of 1:49.87.
During the 100-yard breaststroke, Ursinus recorded the top-two times as Travers (56.84) and senior
Dylan Schreffler (58.32) placed first and second, respectively. Next, D'Avella added the top-time in the 100-yard breaststroke as he touched the wall at 1:01.79 narrowly defeating Kutztown's Theo Miksa who finished at 1:01.93. Ursinus repeated with the top-two times in the 50-yard freestyle as Sonn placed first with a time of 22.28, while Giuliana earned second touching the wall at 22.56. A pair of Bears added their second event victory as Schreffler took first in the 100-yard freestyle (49.10) and Kasznay added the fastest time in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.89). Kasznay added his final event victory in the 20-yard IM as he touched the wall at 2:04.00 outpacing the field by over three seconds.
Ursinus closed out the meet earning the top-two times in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the quartet of Giuliana, Perez-Bonilla, Schreffler, and Sonn touched the wall at 1:30.04. Meanwhile, the team of McCauley, D'Avella, first-year
Evan Wagner, and senior
Jake Klucinec combined for a time of 1:34.00 enroute to the Bears 153-83 victory.
The Bears will return to action tomorrow as they host Misericordia University for a non-conference matchup starting at 1 p.m.
