BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Tennis team closed its fall slate out with a 5-2 loss to Moravian on Saturday afternoon.
In doubles action, senior
Andrei Bogdan and
Teddy Snyder defeated Ryan Burke and Joey Kelly 6-2 at the No. 3 spot before junior
Noah Dichter and sophomore
Russell Nour dropped a 6-4 decision to Cris Calfat Jabra and Enzo Guarda at the No. 1 spot. Junior
Deniz Finkel and first-year
Bogdan Maksimovic dropped a tough 7-6 (7-5) setback to Roman Farhad and Gavin Labbadia at No. 2 doubles.
Finkel defeated Jabra 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Bogdan was defeated by Kelly 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. Snyder was bested by Guarda 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot before Nour outlasted Burke 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) at No. 6 singles to keep the Bears alive. However, Dichter lost 3-6, 6-4, 6-10 to Labbadia at No. 3 singles and sophomore
Charles DiCicco dropped a 3-6, 7-5, 5-10 match to Farhad at the No. 4 spot.
The Bears will return to action in the Spring on Wednesday, March 11
th as they will travel to face TCNJ at 12:00 p.m.
