BRYN MAWR, Pa. – First-year
Caelan Ladd earned a pair of event victories leading the Ursinus women's swimming team to a 112-93 victory over Bryn Mawr College on Friday evening.
With the victory, Ursinus improves to 1-3 overall to open the season, while the Owls fall to 1-4.
The Bears opened with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay as the quartet of juniors

Lindsay Willis combined for a time of 1:58.53. Next, Ladd earned her first event victory of the day behind a time of 10:53.36 in the 1000-yard freestyle. Classmate
Addison Dunlop followed up with a third-place time of 12:05.70, while sophomore
Haley Lenker took fifth with a time of 12:42.57.
Senior
Sara Bozzomo recorded a second-place nod in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.87), while sophomore
Maria Wehmeyer placed fourth by touching the wall at 2:06.46. Ursinus added the top-two times in the 200-yard IM as Hahn (2:18.17) and junior
Sylvi Lynch (2:24.06) combined for 13 points for the Bears. Next, Valeriano (1:00.66) took second in the 100-yard butterfly while Goelz placed third behind a time of 1:02.78. Valeriano later earned the fastest time in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.28) with junior
Mia Tamburrino placing third behind a time of 1:15.26.
The Bears carried the momentum in the 100-yard freestyle as Bozzomo tallied a first-place time of 55.60 and first-year
Isabella Warren took second behind a final time of 57.52. Ladd added her final event victory in the 100-yard backstroke by touching the wall at 1:02.19. Ursinus closed out the meet by finishing first in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the quartet of Willis, Ladd, Bozzomo, and Warren combined for a time of 1:42.07.
The Bears return to action tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Chester, Pennsylvania for a dual meet against Widener University at 1 p.m.
