COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus women's swimming team battled throughout but fell to Division II Kutztown University, 157-105, on Saturday afternoon.

Ladd collected her first win of the day in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:49.30. She later added a victory in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.98) and placed second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:18.23). Valeriano earned wins in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.88) and 200 backstroke (2:13.65), while finishing second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.83).
In the 1,000 free, first-year
Kendell Goelz (11:37.61) and first-year
Addison Dunlop (12:28.79) placed third and sixth, respectively. The Bears added two top-three finishes in the 200-yard freestyle, with Bozzomo taking second (2:01.83) and Hahn third (2:02.93). Ursinus repeated the feat in the 200-yard butterfly as Goelz (2:17.90) and junior
Sylvi Lynch (2:21.84) finished second and third.
Bozzomo placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.89, while Warren took fourth at 57.54. Hahn posted a runner-up finish in the 200 IM (2:18.08), followed by Lynch (2:28.19) and junior
Mia Tamburrino (2:31.10) in fifth and sixth.
Ursinus closed out the meet with a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as Bozzomo, Ladd, first-year
Lindsay Willis, and Valeriano combined for a time of 3:44.29.
The Bears return to action on Friday, Nov. 21, when they travel to Misericordia University for the Cougar Splash Tournament.
