COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus women's swimming team won eight of 11 events en route to a 125-80 victory over York College on Saturday afternoon.
 
 
With the win, Ursinus improved to 5-4 on the season, earning its fifth victory in its last six dual meets. First-year Caelan Ladd, senior Sara Bozzomo and junior Morgan Valeriano led the Bears with two event wins apiece.
 
 
Ursinus opened the meet with a second-place finish from first-year Kendell Goelz in the 1,000-yard freestyle, posting a time of 11:31.68. Classmate Addison Dunlop placed fourth in the event with a time of 12:44.46. Ladd then recorded the Bears' first event win in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 2:00.08, while junior Melanie Hahn (2:03.15) finished third.
 
 
In the 50-yard freestyle, Bozzomo won the event with a time of 25.59, while first-year Lindsay Willis finished third in 26.67. Ursinus followed with a top time in the 200-yard individual medley as Valeriano clocked a 2:10.88, and senior Sylvi Lynch placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:03.28. Bozzomo later added a victory in the 100-yard freestyle (55.46), and Valeriano captured the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.63.
 
 
In the 500-yard freestyle, Ladd totaled nine team points for Ursinus with a first-place time of 5:19.78, while Goelz (5:38.38) placed third. Ursinus closed the meet with Hahn winning the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.63) and the quartet of Ladd, Bozzomo, Warren and Valeriano winning the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:47.58.
 
 
The Bears will return to action Saturday, January 17th, when they travel to Dallas, Pennsylvania, for a dual meet against Misericordia, beginning at 4 p.m.
