READING, Pa. – The Ursinus women's tennis team dropped its non-conference match to Albright College by the score of 5-2 on Friday afternoon.
The Lions won two of the three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match. Sophomore

Fiona Finnerty dropped a 6-3 match to Michelle Timothy and Elicia Aponte at No. 3 doubles before Senior
Allie Armour and junior
Bella Vassalluzzo lost in a tough No. 1 doubles match 7-6 (7-4) to Alex Pancu and Allison Horick. Sophomore
Morgan Coupe and first-year
Katie Yu defeated Alaina Smith and Saba Soroush at the No. 2 spot in thrilling fashion, 7-6 (12-10).
In singles, Yu was bested 2-6, 4-6 by Timothy at No. 2 singles and Daly dropped a tough No. 3 singles 1-6, 7-5, 11-9 to Horick. Armour defeated Pancu 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, but junior
Kate Rubinkam was bested 3-6, 3-6 by Aponte at the No. 4 spot. Coupe was downed by Smith 5-6, 3-6 at No. 5 singles and Vassalluzzo rallied to take down Soroush 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 at the No. 6 spot.
The Bears open Centennial Conference play tomorrow, March 29th as they will travel to face Bryn Mawr at 11:00 a.m.
