COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Ursinus women's swimming team suffered a tight non-conference loss on Saturday afternoon, falling to Misericordia University 116-85.
The loss drops the Bears to 5-5 on the season. The Cougars, meanwhile, improve to 7-1.

Addison Dunlop and
Maya Bowen Nesbit got things started, placing third in the 200 Medley Relay (2:03.12). Sophomore
Caelan Ladd followed with a second-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle, coming in at 10:59.83.
Senior
Sara Bozzomo (2:03.36) and junior
Melanie Hahn (2:06.08) earned third and fourth in the 200 yard freestyle, respectively, before first-year
Isabella Warren took second in the 50-yard freestyle (26.53).
Junior
Morgan Valeriano earned her first win of the day in the 200-yard IM, cruising to victory in 2:16.25. It would be Valeriano's first of two wins Saturday, as she won the 100-yard backstroke in a pool record 59.16.
Ladd picked up her first win of the meet in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in 1:01.68. The trio of Bozzomo (56.36), Warren (58.51), and first-year
Lindsay Willis (58.92) then picked up valuable points for the Bears, earning second, third, and fourth.
First-year
Kendell Goelz and Hahn took second and third in the 500-yard freestyle, coming in at 5:43.78 and 5:45.23. Tamburrino (1:17.17) then secured second place in the 100-yard breaststroke.
The Bears closed out the meet by finishing second and third in the 400- freestyle relay. A team of Ladd, Hahn, Bozzomo, and Valeriano finished in 3:34.65, while a team of junior
Sylvi Lynch, Willis, Warren, and Bowen Nesbit came in at 4:00.99.
Ursinus will return to action on Saturday, January 24th at 1 P.M, as they take on Stevens Institute of Technology at home.
