COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Two members of the Ursinus women's swimming team were officially recognized with All-Centennial Conference honors following their performances last weekend at the Centennial Conference Championships.

 
First-year Caelan Ladd highlighted the accolades, becoming the fifth Bear in program history to be named Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year. She is the first Ursinus swimmer to earn the honor since Melissa Leonard in 2022. Ladd joins Leonard, Sophie Lear (2019), Sophie May (2018) and Peyton Lyons (2016) as conference Rookie of the Year recipients since the award was established in 2013.

 
Ladd earned first-team All-Centennial Conference honors after becoming the only first-year swimmer to claim an individual title at the Centennial Championships, winning the 500-yard freestyle in 4:58.72. Her time ranks 23rd nationally and fifth-fastest in Centennial Conference history. She also garnered second-team honors in the 400-individual medley (4:23.77) and 200-yard butterfly (2:06.16). Her 400 IM time broke the Ursinus school record, ranks 11th in Division III and stands as the second-fastest mark in conference history.

 
Junior Morgan Valeriano received All-Centennial Conference honorable mention recognition after placing third in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.08. Her time ranks second in program history behind Olivia Tierney's mark of 2:21.71 in 2015. Valeriano also placed fourth in the 200 IM (2:05.98) and the 400 IM (4:32.87) at the Centennial Championships.

 
First-year Addison Dunlop represented Ursinus on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

 
Ladd qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships, scheduled to begin Wednesday, March 18, in Indianapolis. She is set to compete in the 500-yard freestyle, 400 IM and 200-yard backstroke.
