ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Tennis team wrapped up a successful weekend by taking down Lebanon Valley 6-1 on the road in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Bears improved to 5-2 overall and the Dutchmen fell to 7-7 overall.
The Bears claimed the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Junior
Noah Dichter and sophomore
Russell Nour earned a 6-3 No. 2 doubles win over Vincent Thompson and Zach Schrader 6-3 while sophomore
Devin Carter and first-year
Pierce Rohlfing locked the point up by defeating Jared Hostetter and Mason Dissinger 6-2 at No. 3 doubles. Junior
Deniz Finkel and first-year
Bogdan Maksimovic dropped a 6-4 decision to Jake Erb and Adam Warren at the No. 1 spot.
Finkel got the first singles point for the Bears by defeating Warren 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot and junior
Teddy Snyder was downed by Schrader 1-6, 6-2, 5-10 at No. 1 singles. Ursinus took the remainder of the points as Nour took down Erb 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 3 spot before Dichter bested Dissinger 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. First-year
James Fassbender defeated Brusse 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 5 singles spot and sophomore
Charles DiCicco completed the win by winning a 7-5, 6-0 decision over Hostetter at No. 6 singles.
Ursinus returns to action on Wednesday, March 18th as they will host DeSales at 3:00 p.m.
