INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – First-year women's swimmer
Caelan Ladd concluded her outstanding rookie season at the 2026 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday at the IU Natatorium.
After earning a pair of All-America honors in her championship debut, Ladd closed out the week by finishing 36th in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:07.77. Her time was just shy of her personal best of 2:06.16, which ranks fourth all-time in program history.
On Wednesday, she earned Second Team All-America honors in the 500-yard freestyle by breaking the Ursinus school record and finishing 14th with a time of 4:56.23. She followed that performance by winning the B final in the 400-yard IM, finishing ninth overall and breaking her second school record with a time of 4:21.94.
The West Chester, Pennsylvania, native became the first Ursinus All-American since Sophie Lear in 2022. She closes out a sensational rookie season that saw her earn two All-America honors at nationals, be named Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year, and earn first-team All-Centennial honors after winning the 500-yard freestyle.
