COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Tennis team wrapped up its 2026 season by dropping a 7-0 decision on senior day to Franklin & Marshall on Sunday afternoon at the Ace Bailey Tennis Courts.
Prior to the match, the Bears honored its two seniors
Bella Vassalluzzo and
Kate Rubinkam as part of senior day ceremonies.
In doubles action, sophomore
Katie Yu and first-year
Sara Steelesmith lost 6-1 to Sarah Miller and Kakie Colclough No. 3 doubles before Vassalluzzo and junior
Caroline Daly were bested by Rebecca Bellick and Sahara Ahmad by 6-2 at the No. 1 spot. Rubkinkam and junior
Morgan Coupe dropped a tough 6-4 No. 2 match to Natalie Untermeyer and Sophia Rhazali.
In singles play, Coupe lost 0-6, 1-6 to Bellick at No. 3 singles, Daly dropped a 2-6, 0-6 No. 2 match to Ahmad, and Yu suffered a 1-6, 2-6 setback to Untermeyer at the No. 1 spot. Vassalluzzo was defeated 0-6, 3-6 at the No. 4 spot to Colclough, Rubinkam lost 0-6, 1-6 to Rhazali, and Steelesmith dropped a tough 3-6, 4-6 No. 6 singles match to Miller.
