BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Cross Country team began its 2026 season at the Bryn Mawr Invitational on Saturday morning.
 
 
The Bears finished second as a team in the six-team field with 61 points that was just behind Swarthmore at 23 points.
 
 
Sophomore Emi Loverdi led the Bears in the 5K race in fourth overall with her time of 21:20.1.  Classmate Alissa Joseph was second among Ursinus runners in 13^th overall with her time of 23:04.3 while junior Aubrey Myers and sophomore Cadence Shaw were 14^th and 15^th respectively, on times of 23:04.8 and 23:05.5.
 
 
Junior Lindsay Solomon led another trio of Bears in 20^th overall on her time of 23:30.5, first-year Edith Green was in 21^st at 23:40.9, and junior Elizabeth Dill finished 22^nd with her time of 23:42.5
 
 
First-year Emma Scarpone recorded a time of 23:55.8 to finish 26^th while classmate Brooklyn Scalise was in 28^th at 24:13.3.
 
 
First-year Haley Bushko was in 29^th at 24:24.4, first-year Chloe Howard finished 35^th with her time of 25:36.8, junior Nicole Parisi posted a time of 25:53.2, and junior Julianna Mullen rounded out the Bears with her time of 26:14.3
 
 
The Bears return to action in two weeks on Friday, September 18th as they will compete in the Haverford Main Line Invitational at 4:45 p.m.
