FRESHMAN (2016-2017): Earned a bronze medal in the 500 free at the Centennial Conference Championship with a personal-best time of 5:08.77 ... Nabbed gold in the 800 free relay (7:44.51) before claiming another bronze, this time in the 200 breast (2:24.61) ... Part of foursome that won the 400 medley relay B final (3:57.94)
Before Ursinus: Four-year varsity letterwinner at Manheim Township High School, where she was also a four-year district qualifier and medalist ... Also earned the 2016 Spirit and Dedication Award
Personal: Born February 2, 1998 ... Daughter of Jeff and Tracy Sturla ... Has two siblings, Lauren (30) and Jeff Jr. (17) ... Media & Communications Studies major with minors in Management and Psychology ... Involved in student government, STAT, Mini-THON, and UNICEF on campus
Why Ursinus? I chose Ursinus because as cheesy as it sounds it felt like home! I absolutely loved the atmosphere that Ursinus provides for its students and it gives me a chance to do the sport that I love while being involved in other activities on campus.
