Biography

Lauren Chavis is a freshman from Pinehurst, N.C. where she attended Pine Crest High School.  Before Ursinus she trained at Sandhills Academy of Gymnastics in Aberdeen, N.C. under coaches Joel Neuwirth and Anita Kelso.  Chavis is the daughter of John and Wendy and sister of Simeon.  She is majoring in Biology with a minor in Nutrition.  In her free time she volunteers at Carpenters for Christ.  

High School: Team captain for 5 years and was the regional level 8 bar champion. Placed 3rd on beam in the state for level 9 and was a level 10 for 3 years.
