SOPHOMORE (2016-17): Competed in distance races for the Bears, earning a pair of 8th-place finishes at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships ... Placed 8th in the 4x800 with a time of 10:20.91 and 8th in the distance medley relay with a 13:34.07 ... Placed 7th (10:53.19) in the 4x800 at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championship 

FRESHMAN (2015-16): Nabbed 7th in both the Centennial Conference Indoor (10:22.46) and Outdoor (10:01.39) Championships, while earning 9th in the distance medley relay in the outdoor meet (13:16.10) ... Put up a career-best 2:32.66 in the 800-meter at the Ursinus College Invitational, which was good enough for 5th place

Before Ursinus: All-Suburban One League selection in both cross country and track at Council Rock North High School ... Ran varsity track and cross country all four years ... Council Rock team award and MVP for cross country as a senior ... National Honor Society member

Personal: Born March 27, 1996 ... Daughter of Ray and Doreen Engel ... Has two siblings, Rip (22) and Rae (17) ... Communications major with a minor in Management Studies ... Also a member of the cross country team at Ursinus

Why Ursinus: I chose Ursinus because all of the factors that I think are important are offered here including its great reputation athletically and academically, its location, its strong alumni connections, and its close proximity to the Philadelphia area where there are many job opportunities after graduation. The track and cross country program have quality coaches; that along with the great facilities and the close-knit family atmosphere make it a perfect fit for me.
