Al Reiser, Ed.D., enters his first year as the Ursinus College Director of Athletics in 2026-27. Reiser, who brings more than a decade of senior leadership experience in collegiate athletics at both the NCAA Division I and Division III levels, began on July 1, 2026.
Most recently, Reiser served as associate director of athletics at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., where he acted as the primary deputy to the athletic director and helped lead a broad range of departmental initiatives. In this role, he worked with coaches and staff, strengthened partnerships across campus, coordinated NCAA compliance efforts, and helped guide the department through significant budget challenges while maintaining a positive and competitive student-athlete experience.
Prior to Whitman, Reiser spent eight years at University of Wyoming Athletics as assistant athletic director for academic services, where he helped lead the department to record-setting academic performance, including some of the highest academic progress rates and GPA marks in department history. His experience also includes leadership roles at the University of Utah, Indiana University, and Lawrence University.
Reiser earned a doctor of education in higher education administration from the University of Wyoming, along with two master's degrees from Indiana University in athletic administration and higher education/student affairs. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree from Lawrence University.
