Runsdorf ’25 joined the Baseball coaching staff in the Summer of 2025 after completing his undergraduate degree in Education and competing in 77 career games for the Bears.
The Bears finished with one of their best seasons in program history in 2026, finishing with a 25-18-1 record and qualifying for the Centennial Conference Baseball Tournament. During the Bears’ 2026 postseason run, Ursinus earned victories over Gettysburg College, Washington College, and McDaniel College before falling to nationally ranked Johns Hopkins in the title game, marking their first appearance in the championship game since 2017.
The 2026 season also featured major individual recognition under the Bears’ coaching staff, Ursinus earned five All-Centennial Conference selections, led by first-team pitcher Dan Bass, second-team selections Max Shilstone and Brett Barrett, and honorable mention honorees Brandon Sullivan and Luke Kopec. Bass and first-year two-way player Jamie O’Neill also earned D3baseball.com All-Region honors, while Bass added ABCA All-Region recognition.
Runsdorf made 61 starts for the Bears behind the plate and hit .248 over 202 career at-bats. He oversees development for the Bears’ catchers and bullpen operations.
He is currently obtaining his master’s degree in Sports Management and Operations from Keiser University. Runsdorf resides in Phoenixville with his pet Chameleon, Roger.
