Kevin Clark

Kevin Clark, a former National Champion, enters his second year with the program as an Assistant Track & Field Coach. Coach Clark works directly with the vaulters and oversees the combined event athletes.
 
In his first two years with the Bears, men’s vault dominated the conference, placing five on the All-Centennial Team. In 2022, Brody Myers broke both the indoor and outdoor school record in the vault and was recognized at Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year. In 2023, Clark’s Decathlon group placed an impressive 4 in the top 8 at the outdoor Centennial Championship, helping the Bear’s win their second consecutive conference crown. Ethan Chambers finished runner-up at the championship in a school record of 5238 points.
 
Prior to Ursinus, Clark spend 11 years at Gwynedd Mercy University. His last five year, Clark served as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. During his time at Gwynedd, Clark’s athletes rewrote the record books in both the throws and jumps as well as achieved an impressive seven All-American honors. Clark was named Mideast Region Indoor Assistant Coach of the Year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2012-13 indoor season.
 
A 2008 graduate of Elizabethtown College, Clark was a five time All American, helping the Blue Jays win six MAC Championships. Clark won the 2007 NCAA Indoor National Championship in the Pole Vault with a jump of 5.22m (17’1.5”). In 2013, Clark was inducted to the Elizabethtown Hall of Fame.
