Maeve Montgomery enters her first season as a coach at Ursinus College following an exceptional four-year playing career as a Bear. A standout defensive player, Montgomery established herself as one of the top defenders in the Centennial Conference and brings valuable experience and leadership to the Ursinus coaching staff.
During her playing career, Montgomery earned two First Team All-Centennial selections (2023, 2024) and was named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year twice (2023, 2024). She also earned NFHCA All-Region Second Team honors in 2023, followed by NFHCA First Team All-Region and Third Team All-American honors in 2024. Montgomery was also selected to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team in 2024 and helped lead the Bears to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
Off the field, Montgomery excelled academically and within the Ursinus community, earning Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition, the Ehret and Ronald C. Kichline Award, and the Linda McIntyre Award.
Now beginning her coaching career at Ursinus, Montgomery brings firsthand experience as an elite defender and former Bear to the staff. Her knowledge of the game, competitive experience, and understanding of the Ursinus program will be valuable in developing the next generation of Bears!
