Ryan Burke

Ryan Burke enters his first as the Ursinus College men's lacrosse head coach after being introduced in January 2026.

Burke joined the Bears after spending the 2025 season as an assistant coach at Babson College, where he helped guide the Beavers to their third consecutive NEWMAC Championship behind a 16-4 record. Babson defeated No. 19 Denison in their first round match up, before falling to No. 2 RIT in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to Babson, Burke served as the first head men’s lacrosse coach in William Jewell University history. Hired in May 2022, he recruited a 30-player inaugural roster and led the Cardinals to a 7-8 record in their first varsity season in 2024.

Burke also spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Montevallo, where he oversaw the offense and worked with the goalies and face-off unit. During his tenure, the Falcons won back-to-back Peach Belt Conference championships and ranked among the top 30 in Division II in both scoring offense and scoring defense in 2021 and 2022.

A 2014 graduate of Saint Leo University, Burke was a four-year midfielder for the Lions and served as team captain during his senior season. He totaled 30 goals, 20 assists, 37 caused turnovers, and 28 ground balls over 50 career games. In his final year, he ranked second on the team in assists (10) and third in points (27).

Burke began his coaching career at Saint Leo as a graduate assistant in 2014 before being promoted to offensive coordinator prior to the 2017 season. Under his leadership, the Lions ranked fourth in Division II in scoring offense and advanced to the NCAA Division II national championship game for the first time in program history in 2018.

He also gained Division I experience as a volunteer assistant coach at Bellarmine University, where he assisted with the defense, goalies, and face-off unit.

A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Burke holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in sports business from Saint Leo University.
