Ryan DiVergilis '24 returns to his Alma Mater as Defensive Backs Coach for the 2025 Ursinus football season. A recent graduate of Ursinus, DiVergilis comes off a decorated career in Collegeville.
DiVergilis was a three-time All-Centennial First Team selection at safety which was the fifth time in Ursinus Football program history achieved that feat. He was an All-Centennial pick in all four seasons on the team and he capped his career with a D3football.com All-Region 2 Second Team Honors in 2024. That season, DiVergilis tied for second in the Centennial Conference with three interceptions and provided one of the defining plays of the season by returning a 47-yard interception for a touchdown against Franklin & Marshall.. DiVergilis has totaled 64 tackles (30 solo) and broke up six passes while leading the team back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 1999 season. He finished with eight interceptions for his career and 216 total tackles.
DiVergilis was a two-time team captain for the Ursinus Football team and was equally as strong in the classroom by becoming a three-time selection in: College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, PhillySIDA Academic All-Area team, Centennial Conference Hoor Roll, and Academic All-Centennial team. While in undergrad at Ursinus, DiVergilis served as the Athletics Operations Intern for the 2023-24 school year and was a Student Associate at the Ursinus College Institute for Student Success.
DiVergilis began pursuing a Master of Science in Sports Business Degree at Temple University in January of 2025.
