Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus and Washington played to a 1-1
double overtime tie on Sunday afternoon in men's soccer
play.
After a scoreless first half, Ursinus (3-9-2, 0-6-1 Centennial) got
on the board at 68:38 as freshman midfielder Josh Howell
(Cream Ridge, N.J./Allentown) scored his first goal of the
season on an assist from senior midfielder David Breines
(Holland Township, N.J./Del Val) for a 1-0 lead.
Washington (2-12-1, 0-6-1 Centennial) tied the score with 4:14 left
in the game as James Bedrock scored his first collegiate goal on an
assist from Mike Vanaskie.
Ursinus, who had a 25-11 advantage on shots, got three saves from
sophomore goalkeeper Mike Alfieri (Mount Laurel,
N.J./Lenape). Washington goalkeeper Chris Phipps had 12
saves.
