Box Score 2 COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College volleyball team
went 1-1 in two matches during its homecoming tri-match on Saturday
afternoon.
In the morning opener, Ursinus defeated Rowan, 3-1, before
falling to Stevenson in the nightcap 3-0. Set scores in the Rowan
match were 25-21, 25-16, 26-24, 27-25, while in the Stevenson
match, set scores were 25-14, 25-19 and 25-20.
In the opener, junior outside hitter Kim
Goldberg (Sarasota, Fla./Out of Door Academy) had 14 kills on
39 attack attempts, with senior outside hitter Mary
Kate Wilmoth (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) shooting for ten
kills.
Junior setter Elizabeth
Roth (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) had 32 assists. Defensively,
senior libero Gabriella
Galleo (Reading, Pa./Spring-Ford) had 24 digs, with Wilmoth
getting 14.
Sophomore middle blocker Kristin
Hanratty (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) had two solo blocks,
with sophomore middle blocker Kayla
McLeod (Hermitage, Tenn./University School of Nashville)
getting five block assists.
In the Stevenson match, Wilmoth and freshman middle blocker Anahi
McIntyre (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West), along with
Hanratty had five kills each. Roth had 13 assists, with Galleo
getting 16 digs.
Ursinus hosts Muhlenberg on Wednesday.
