Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus junior guard Jaclyn Hilf
(Maple Glen, Pa./Upper Dublin) had a team-high 13 points
as the Bears (10-12, 7-10 Centennial) swept the season series from
Haverford (5-15, 3-13 Centennial) 67-51 Thursday night on the Main
Line.
Sophomore center Ryann Burke (Haddon Township,
N.J./Haddon Township) added in 11, while junior forward
Alex Shivers (Pine Beach, N.J./Toms River South)
and sophomore forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St.
Basil's) added in ten points each. Teuber grabbed a
team-high ten rebounds for the Bears.
For Haverford, freshman guard Nina Voith had 16 points and 16
rebounds, both game-highs. Freshman forward Dominique Meeks had 14
points, with senior guard Sara Cram scoring eight points and
grabbing 12 rebounds.
Ursinus opened the game with a 7-1 run, before Haverford fought
back to take a 10-9 lead with 14:05 left to go in the first half on
a three-pointer by Voith.
Ursinus would answer back with a three-pointer, coming from Hilf
at the 13:21 mark to take a 12-10 lead.
The Bears took the lead for good at 23-21 with 3:49 left in the
half on a three-pointer by Hilf and never looked back. Leading
32-25 at intermission, the Bears started the half on a 6-2 run to
put the game out of reach.
Haverford had a 43-39 lead on the glass, but, could not overcome
17 turnovers.
Ursinus will host league leading McDaniel on Saturday.
