Volleyball goes 2-1 at Stevenson Invitational

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Ursinus (6-3) won two out of three non-conference matches on Sunday at the Stevenson Invitational, beating both Mt. Saint Vincent and Phila. Bible (4-5).  FDU-Florham (7-3) handed the Bears their only loss of the day. Set scores against FDU were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-23. Against Philadelphia Biblical, scores were 26-28, 25-17, 25-20 and 25-19, while against Mount Saint Vincent, scores were 25-16, 25-8, 25-10.

Junior Kristin Hanratty (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) had a match-high eight kills against a tough Florham team.  Freshman Gina Powers (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) had 13 assists and freshman Leah Masiello (New Castle, Del./St. Elizabeth's) had 19 digs in the loss. 

Junior Kristin Hanratty (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) and senior Kim Goldberg (Sarasota, Fla./Out of Door Academy) both had 14 kills in a match that took four sets. had 25 assists and freshman Masiello had 31 digs in the victory. 

The Bears easily handled Mt. Saint Vincent with great contributions all around.  Hanratty and Goldberg led the way with eight kills a piece in the Bears win.  Powers had 17 assists and Masiello had 22 digs in the victory.
