Women's Basketball falls to Haverford, 63-45

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Haverford remained unbeaten in the Centennial Conference as the Fords (6-1, 5-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (4-4, 2-3 Centennial) 63-45 on Thursday night in women's basketball.

Haverford, who led the entire game, got 16 points from sophomore guard Elizabeth Lynch, while senior guard Victoria Sobocinski and junior guard Rachel Baskin each had nine.

Ursinus was led by freshman forward Jessica Porada (Morristown, N.J./Morris Catholic) who had 20 points and ten rebounds, both game highs. Freshman forward Tori Steinberg (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) added in five.

The Fords led by ten at intermission and had as much as a 24-point lead in the second half.

Despite the loss, Ursinus committed just nine turnovers on the night and scored 16 points off of nine offensive rebounds.

Senior forward Dominique Meeks had eight points and a team-high nine rebounds for the Fords, who had a 37-31 lead on the glass. 

Ursinus heads to Dickinson Saturday.
