COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus put a tough fight against Muhlenberg on Wednesday night, before falling 3-1 to the Mules in Centennial Conference volleyball.

Set scores were 25-13, 25-14, 22-25 and 25-12.

For Ursinus (7-16, 0-8 Centennial), sophomore outside hitter Karla Thiele led both sides with 14 kills, with senior middle blocker Mara Berzins and junior setter Gina Powers each having seven.

Powers led the way with 21 assists, with freshman setter Emily van Mulbergt adding in nine.

Defensively, junior libero Leah Masiello added in 16 digs with Thiele netting ten.

For Muhlenberg (17-8, 7-1 Centennial), sophomore Sarah Weyhmuller had 11 kills, with sophomore midfielder Katherine Boll, freshman outside hitter Allison Glass and junior outside hitter Lindsey Gambocurta each getting nine.

Ursinus will head to PSU-Abington for a quad match on Saturday with Alvernia, PSU-Abington and Susquehanna.
