COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The University of Scranton got a goal in each half as the Royals (2-0-2) defeated Ursinus (1-4) 2-0 on Wednesday night at Patterson Field.

Scranton, who held a 17-7 advantage on shots, got on the board just before halftime as John Spadaro scored on a header off of a free kick from Nick Paganelli with just 16 seconds on the clock.

In the second half, Bill McGuiness scored on a penalty kick at 65:34 for a 2-0 lead.

Ursinus goalkeeper Ryan Murphy (Sewell, N.J./Paul VI) made nine saves on the night.
