Women's Basketball freezes Bryn Mawr, 79-22

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – A total of 15 different players scored for Ursinus as the Bears (7-11) defeated Bryn Mawr (1-9) 79-22 on Thursday night in women's basketball action.

The Bears were led by freshman forward Ali Abbonizio who had a team-high ten points, while sophomore forward Jessica Porada, sophomore forward Elana Roadcloud each with nine.

Bryn Mawr was led by senior forward Nicolette Parmese who had 13 points.

The Bears were in control early, scoring the game's first 14 points and led 55-9 at intermission. Ursinus sank 24-for-35 of their shots in the first half (68.6 percent), finishing the game 54.7 percent from the field (35-for-64).

Ursinus had a 36-28 advantage on the glass, with freshman forward Meaghan Geatens grabbing eight.

Ursinus has Saturday off, before heading to Swarthmore on Wednesday.
