COLLEGEVILLE, Pa - Sophomore Matt Cioeta opened the game with a goal in the 6th minute but Gettysburg scored 4 unanswered, as the Bears lost 4-1 Saturday afternoon at Patterson field.
The Bears drop their first conference game of the season and fall to 2-4-1 following the loss.
Ursinus could only muster 3 shots on goal for the game, while Gettysburg finished with 13.
To open the game Matt Cioeta scored with a quick goal off a deflection in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Gettysburg would answer back with goals in the 10th, 25th, and 33rd minute in the first half to take a commanding 3-1 lead going into half.
In the second Gettysburg finished the game with a goal in the 86th minute.
The Bears will face off against Albright in Reading, Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
