CARLISLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Basketball team never trailed in their road contest against Dickinson as they rebounded with an 80-72 win over the Red Devils on Tuesday night in Centennial Conference action.
With the win, the Bears improved to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in Centennial Conference play. Meanwhile, the Red Devils fell to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in conference action.

Ryan Hughes led four Bears in double-figures with a team-high 18 points behind going 8-of-15 from the field and tallied three rebounds, two assists, plus two steals in the win. Junior
Trevor Wall scored 16 points behind going an efficient 6-of-10 from the field and grabbed three rebounds along with two assists. Senior
Kyle Maurer recorded 12 points behind going 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and grabbed four rebounds, while freshman
Nick Nocito added 13 points and four rebounds off the bench.
Maurer set the tone with a three-pointer on the Bears first possession of the game as Ursinus jumped out to a 9-1 lead at the 17:07-mark to force a Red Devils timeout. The Bears staved off five quick points from Dickinson out of the timeout with a 12-5 run to go up 21-11 at the 11:26-mark following another three-pointer from Maurer. A jumper on Dickinson's next possession cut the Bears lead down into single digits at 21-13, but five-straight points from the Bears pushed the lead out to 26-13 with 9:36 left in the first half. The Bears lead would not fall into single digits for the remainder of the first half as they built their lead up to as many as 22 points at 48-26 at the 17-second mark. Ursinus shot 60 percent from the field (6-of-10) in the final 6:15 of the half while going on a 16-6 run into the locker rooms.
The Bears picked up where they left off to start the second half as they maintained a comfortable lead through the majority of the second half. Ursinus built up their lead up by as many as 24 points on two separate occasions and did not let their lead drop under 16 points until the 4:48-mark of the second half. The Red Devils did make a late second half rally as they closed the game on a 26-10 run in the final 7:38 of the game. However, Ursinus never saw its lead go under seven points in the final portion of the game.
Ursinus shot 50.9 percent (27-of-53) from the field and 50 percent (6-of-12) from three-point range behind going 5-of-9 in the first half. The Bears went 20-of-28 (71.4%) from the free throw line and scored 19 points off 17 Red Devil turnovers. Meanwhile, the Red Devils went 42.1 percent (24-of-57) from the field and just 4-of-21 (19%) from three-point range. Dickinson went 20-of-31 (64.5%) from the free throw line and held a 38-31 rebounding advantage that led to a sizable 14-2 edge in second chance points.
The Red Devils saw a pair of players score over 20 points in the game as Anthony Goeb led all scorers with 24 points off going 8-of-13 from the field and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Martin Mann tallied a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bears return to action on Thursday, January 12th as they will host Haverford at 8 p.m.
