COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Ursinus College gymnastics team has released its competition schedule for the 2024 campaign.
 
 
Included among the Bears' 2024 slate features trips back to West Chester, Temple, and Rutgers, three meets against just NCGA East competitors, a Senior Day in February, with the culmination of hosting the 2024 NCGA National Championships.
 
 
The Bears will debut to the public with their annual Red/Gold intrasquad meet on December 8th in the Bears' practice facility. Official competition begins in earnest on Sunday January 14, when Ursinus hosts three NCGA East schools: Cortland, Springfield, and Rhode Island College for a quad meet.
 
 
Following the opener, head coach Kim Valenti's squad will travel for a dual meet against Ithaca, who qualified for the NCGA National Championship as a team last season.
 
 
Ursinus will then hit the road again one week later up to Bridgeport to compete against the host Purple Knights, Alaska, and Rhode Island College. The Bears will begin a home-and-home series with West Chester the following Sunday, February 4th for senior day before running it back a week later on Saturday, February 10th at the Golden Rams gym.
 
 
The Bears travel back to North Philadelphia on Friday, February 16th for a quad meet at Temple with the host Owls, Southern Connecticut State, and Bridgeport before heading to Brockport the following Sunday for a NCGA tri-meet with the host Golden Eagles plus Springfield.
 
 
Ursinus wraps up its regular season up at Rutgers on Saturday, March 2nd by competing alongside the host Scarlet Knights, Cornell, and West Chester once more.
 
 
The Bears will head up to Ithaca on Saturday, March 9th for the NCGA East Regionals at 1:00 p.m., vying for a spot in the NCGA National Championship Meet at home.
 
 
This will be the first time since 2006 that Ursinus will host the NCGA Championship meet. More information will be posted in the coming months regarding event information for the meet.
