GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's basketball team fell to Gettysburg College 64-50 on Thursday evening in a Centennial Conference road matchup from Bream Gymnasium.
With the loss, Ursinus moves to 5-1 o the season and 2-1 in Centennial Conference action. Meanwhile, the Bullets improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

Sarah DiLello recorded seven points behind shooting 2-of-3 from three-point range, while junior
Charlotte DiLello tallied eight points and two rebounds.

Sarah DiLello each connected on shot attempts, but it was Gettysburg leading 16-14 at the end of the first quarter.
The Bullets opened the second stanza with a layup, before the Bears answered with a 6-1 run to capture a 20-19 lead at the 6:34-mark. The Ursinus run was sparked by a layup from Grant and back-to-back baskets from Irondi to gain the one-point advantage. Gettysburg bounced back with a 10-0 over the next three minutes of action to retake a 29-21 advantage with 2:57 remaining in the first half. After being held scoreless for three minutes, Ursinus used a 4-0 run to cut their deficit to five behind free-throws from Smith and Blackman. Gettysburg closed out the first half connecting on five of their six free throw attempts to regain a 34-24 lead at halftime.
Each team traded baskets to open the second, before a Gettysburg three-pointer gave the Bullets a 39-26 lead at the 7:20-mark of the third period. After a free-throw from Smith, used an 8-0 run to extend their lead to 20 with 4:31 remaining in the third quarter. Gettysburg opened with three of the first five points in the fourth quarter, before a 7-0 run from the Bears cut their deficit to 10 with 6:40 remaining in the contest. The run was started by a layup from Irondi, before a three-pointer from Sarah Dilello made the score 55-45. Gettysburg held the Bears scoreless for the next two minutes while connecting on three of their four free throw attempts to take a 58-45 advantage. The Bears tried to spark a comeback over the final few minutes, but it was the Bullets holding onto a 64-50 conference victory.
The Bears shot 34.6% (18-of-52) from the field, 19% (4-of-21) from three-point range, ad just 47.6% (10-of-21) at the charity stripe. Gettysburg shot 39.2% (20-of-51) from the field, 27.8% from deep (5-of-18), and 73.1% (19-of-26) from the free-throw line. The Bears held a 28-26 edge for points in the paint, while Gettysburg finished with a 40-31 advantage in rebounds. Gettysburg's Mackenzie Szlosek finished with a game-high 23 points and dished out three assists, while Alayna Arnolie collected 12 points and six rebounds in 35 minutes of action.
The Bears return to action on Saturday as they travel to Westminster, Maryland for a Centennial Conference matchup against McDaniel College at 1 p.m.
