COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over DeSales in non-conference dual match action on Tuesday afternoon at the Ursinus Tennis courts.
With the win, the Bears improved to 8-2 overall behind their second-straight win at home in the past four days. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs of the MAC Freedom fell to 0-3 overall.
The dominant day for the Bears started in doubles by snatching the three matches while not allowing any of the Bulldog doubles teams to win more than one set. The Ursinus No. 2 doubles team of junior

Bella Vassalluzzo dispatched Tara Clark and Vivian Dang at No. 3 doubles by the same score.
Compagnoni shutout Clark 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles before Burke clinched the match by defeating Vandenberge 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot. First-year
Fiona Finnerty bested Dang 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles and Armour downed Tomlinson 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot. Stewart took down Hoppe 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and Samer capped off the day by defeating Shoemaker 6-1, 6-0. Stewart continued her unbeaten streak in singles to 10-0 with nine of her wins coming out of No. 3 singles.
The Bears are right back to work tomorrow, March 22nd as they will host No. 32 ranked Swarthmore at 4:00 p.m. for their Centennial Conference opener.
