With the loss, the Bears dropped to 11-5 overall and 2-4 in Centennial Conference play. Meanwhile, the Shoremen improved to 4-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

The Shoremen won all three of the doubles points to take an early 3-0 lead in the match. Senior

Will Oberholtzer suffered an 8-2 setback to Andre-Remi Jakobi and Karl Hoegstedt at the No. 1 spot. The No. 2 doubles team of
Darby Rogers and
Ethan Yu fell 8-3 to Jack Fanshawe and Landon Strober

In singles, Jespersen was defeated by Hoegstedt 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Mandel suffered a 6-0, 6-2 setback to Brady Burns at the No. 6 spot which clinched the match for the Shoremen. Bogdan was bested by Kawai 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Rogers was downed by Gruyon at the No. 4 position 6-3, 6-1. Oberholtzer dropped a 6-3, 6-2 match to Strober at the No. 2 spot and Yu battled Ravichandran heartbreaking 3-6, 6-4, (10-5) match at No. 3 singles.Â

The Bears return to action Friday, April 14th as they will travel to face Drew at 3:30 p.m. for a non-conference match.
