MADISON, N.J. – The Ursinus Women's Tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Drew in non-conference action on Friday afternoon.
With the loss, the Bears dropped to 9-8 overall while the Rangers of the Landmark Conference improved to 12-2.
The Rangers won all three doubles matches on the day to go up 3-0 headed into singles action. Sophomores

Shannon Stewart were downed 8-0 at No. 1 doubles by Mary Kalorin and Sofiya Lebedev before junior
Avery Samer and first-year
Bella Vassalluzzo suffered an 8-2 setback by the same score to Courtney Bresler and Danielle DelRosso at the No. 3 spot. Senior
Ava Compagnoni and junior
Claire Burke fell by a score of 8-3 at No. 2 doubles by the team of Sanne Bloemendaal and Melina Christodoulou.
In singles, Samer and first-year
Fiona Finnerty earned the two points for the Bears in the match. Samer won a thrilling 2-6, 7-5, (12-10) match over Natalia Zamora at the No. 4 spot while Finnerty defeated Bresler 8-6 in one set. Armour dropped a 6-2, 6-1 match at No. 1 singles to Lebedeva and Burke fell 6-3, 6-2 Christodoulou at the No. 2 position. Stewart suffered a 6-2, 6-3 setback to Kalorin at No. 3 singles and Compagnoni was edged 6-4, 6-4 by DelRosso at the No. 5 spot.
Ursinus returns to action on Wednesday, April 19th as they will travel to face Franklin & Marshall in Centennial Conference action at 4:00 p.m.
