With the loss, the Bears fell to 9-9 overall and 1-6 in Centennial Conference action. Meanwhile, the Diplomats improved to 8-7 overall and 6-2 in conference play.

In singles, Stewart was downed by March at the No. 3 position 6-1, 6-1 while Compagnoni suffered a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Perry at No. 5 singles. Armour fell 6-2, 6-3 to Landau at the No. 1 spot and first-year
Fiona Finnerty dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to Victor at No. 6 singles. Burke dropped a tight 6-3, 7-5 match to Sherman at No. 2 singles and Samer was edged 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) at No. 4 singles by Bidwell.
