COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Lacrosse team suffered a 15-10 loss to No. 20 Swarthmore on Wednesday afternoon.

Tyler Neal to get the Bears on the board first at the 12:52-mark of the first half. Swarthmore countered with two goals in a span of 20 seconds to go up 2-1 at the 9:13-mark before senior
Jeremy Calabro tied things up again after bouncing the ball into the net past the Garnet goalkeeper. Senior
Erik Ojert put the Bears back in front at 3-2 with 4:21 left in the first quarter and the Garnet answered 36 seconds later after winning the ensuing faceoff. Swarthmore opened the second quarter with a pair of goals and maintained their advantage into the half as both teams showcased strong goaltending in the second quarter. Neal notched his first goal at the 5:39-mark to make it a 5-4 game.
The teams traded back and forth goals for the first seven minutes of the third quarter which left the Garnet up 8-6 at the 8:06-mark. Ursinus seemed to seize momentum with back-to-back goals to tie the game at eight with 6:12 left in the third quarter. Neal added his third of the game before sophomore
Dominic Nottoli scored after snatching the ensuing faceoff. However, the Garnet took control of the game with four-straight goals to go up 12-8 entering the fourth quarter. Swarthmore did not let their lead fall below four goals for the remainder of the game despite Neal adding two more tallies in the fourth.
Swarthmore held a 49-37 shot advantage for the game and 29-24 edge in shots on goal. The Garnet held a 48-35 advantage in ground balls and dominated the faceoff circle by winning 20 of the 29 matchups. Senior Bears goalkeeper
Quinn Watson valiantly battled in his first collegiate start in net despite the setback and made 14 saves. Ryan Pretzer also made 14 saves for the Garnet to grab the win. Neal led the Bears with six points behind five goals and one assist while Pucciarelli scored three points on two goals and one assist. Von Mabbs paced the Garnet with four goals and two assists to total six points.
The Bears return to action on Saturday, April 22nd as they will travel to face Washington College at 1:00 p.m.
