CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The Ursinus Bears women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Washington College on Wednesday afternoon in Centennial Conference action.

With the loss, the Bears fell to 9-7 overall and 1-5 in Centennial Conference action. Meanwhile, the Shorewomen improved to 4-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

Ava Compagnoni dropped an 8-5 decision to Bin Nguyen and Eva Kading at the No. 2 spot.

In singles, Stewart was downed by Erika Phanord at the No. 3 position 6-0, 6-0 while Samer suffered a 6-0, 6-1 loss to Kading at No. 4 singles. First-year
Fiona Finnerty fell 6-2, 6-2 to Ruppert at the No. 6 spot and Compagnoni dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Sorhegui at No. 5 singles. Armour and Burke both suffered similar fates in tiebreakers as Armour was edged 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 0-1 (1-10) by Namunyola at the No. 1 spot before Burke dropped a 3-6, 6-2, 0-1 (9-11) match to Sartison in the No. 2 position.
