COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – In its season-opening contest, the Ursinus Men's Tennis team dropped a 6-1 match to Division II Chestnut Hill on Thursday afternoon at the Ace Bailey Tennis Courts.
The Griffins won two of the three doubles matches to earn the new lone doubles point after rule changes in the offseason to the Division III match scoring. Sophomore

Nathan Kim delivered a 6-3 win over Pablo Cervera and Ewan Brown at the No. 1 doubles spot. Sophomores
Deniz Finkel and
Noah Dichter suffered a 7-5 setback to Arnaud Vangenechten and Menno Raeymaekers at the No. 2 spot while junior
Andrei Bogdan and first-year
Russell Nour were bested 6-2 at the No. 3 doubles spot by Siddarth Malik and Marcello Bozzone.
Kim highlighted the Bears in singles action by defeating Brown 7-5, 6-3 at the No. 3 spot for the Bears only point of the match. Finkel dropped a hard-fought 3-6, 7-5, 6-10 No. 1 singles match to Relecom while Snyder was downed 3-6, 3-6 at the No. 2 spot by Raeymaekers. Dichter lost 3-6, 3-6 to Enzo Puppi at the No. 4 position and Bogdan suffered a 5-7, 3-6 No. 5 singles match to Vangenechten. Nour dropped a 3-6, 3-6 decision to Alessio Lefebvre at the No. 6 spot.
The Bears return to action on Saturday, October 5th as they will host Neumann at 2:00 p.m.
